If I understand correctly, the user does not have access to their internal wallet using the seed phrase? I made a mistake and sent ETH on mainnet, not on base. If I had the seed phrase, I would be able to send my eth back. How should I act in this situation?
For example, warpcast also has an internal wallet, but they provided the seed phrase, which helped me avoid the same situation, for example.
Thanks, team. I love towns. And better for user experience, I think the user should have access to the internal wallet.
Unfortunately your towns wallet is a smart account wallet and has no seed phrase to let you access it. We urge users to send only Base ETH to their Towns wallet in order to not lose access to funds.
The ability to export your private key is on the roadmap, but even so you will still need to deploy a smart account on mainnet to access the funds. We announce feature releases on our X account so the best way to get notified when we launch new features like exporting private key is to follow us https://x.com/townsxyz.
If you’ve lost an urgent amount of ETH, please reach out to help@towns.com with your account details and transaction link and we’ll do our best to help you out.
