Help Needed: Sent regular ETH to ETH Base Address :(

Hi Towns team,

Like a few others here, I sent 0.1 ETH from my regular wallet to the Towns Base address without realising it :frowning: It was a lot of money for me to lose since I was saving up to join this Town.

Etherscan confirmed the transfer as successful but it has not reflected on the Towns Base address.

Is there a way to bridge the Towns Base address to access the regular ETH I sent?

Or would it be possible to send it back to me so I can send it again from my ETH Base wallet?

Really hoping to get some help with this :folded_hands:

Hi Towns team,

Any progress on the previously mentioned recovery tool?

I can’t afford to pay twice to access the Town I’d like to join and membership spaces are running out.

I would really appreciate some help sorting out the wrong chain issue.

Thanks

Hey @thecurto

We’re working on a recovery tool for eth sent to your Towns wallet using the wrong network.

Please keep an eye out on our socials for the release of this tool via @townsxyz.

Thanks @Joe I’ll keep an eye out for updates on X

Hey @thecurto
The recovery tool for members on Towns who sent funds from the wrong network is live.

Please head to https://recovery.towns.com/ to begin the recovery process, details about this tool can be found on our X - @townsxyztownsxyz

Thanks @Joe this tool looks great so kudos to the team!

I’m still getting an error message unfortunately: “This account type is not fully supported yet. Our team is adding support for semi-modular smart accounts soon. Please stay tuned for an update or contact support for assistance.”

But it’s great to see my funds are there so I’m happy to wait a bit longer for the semi-modular smart accounts feature.

Hi @Joe and @Crisvond hope you’re both well.

I wanted to check if there has been any progress on support for semi-modular smart accounts on the Recovery Hub? Thanks!

Hi @Joe and @Crisvond please could I get an update on my previous message.

It’s been nearly 2 months since the Recovery Tool has launched but I still cannot recover my ETH due to no semi-modular smart account support.

Hi Curto , we will give you an update as soon as we have the Semi Modular Working
